I was born in Dublin City, Ireland. I always loved music and
radio, even as a child. On leaving school in the late 1970s
I began working for Bray Local Broadcasting, Ireland’s first
community radio station. I joined Radio Caroline (the offshore
station) in the mid 1980s, playing a variety of music including
progressive rock. Since then I have been presenting programmes
on Radio Seagull in the Netherlands and these days produce and
present Music Without Frontiers. I love all kinds of music from
progressive rock, post punk indie and synthwave to country, folk,
world music and jazz. I love to discover music I haven’t heard before,
be it old or new. I love nature and messing about in my garden, when
it’s not raining, which it nearly is, here in south-west Ireland!
